Team J/105 Chantecler in Bermuda, June 2002

The Chantecler team in Bermuda in June 2002

Interior

  1. The J/105 cabin viewed from the V-berth with cushions removed for racing. The retractable bow sprit on the starboard side of the forepeak cabin is not visible on the picture.

  2. The J105 mast step viewed from the main cabin. The sea toilet and lavabo sink on Port side are not visible on the picture. The holding tank for waste water is hidden in the portside cabinet under the sink.

  3. The J-105 starboard side navigation table with the DSC VHF and electrical panel. The navigation computer is set up on the ventilation mat and connects to the instruments with the serial link.

  4. This J/105 port side cabin berth with its lee cloth is quite comfortable at sea, even if racing or cruising offshore. The ice cooler sets under the companionway ladder.

  5. The J 105 starboard side cabin berth and the quarter berth. Both are quite comfortable at sea.

  6. J/105, the starboard side main cabin berth. Below the companionway ladder are the main cut-off battery switches.

  7. J 105, this is the stove area (two burner gimbaled propane stove removed). The kitchen sink is on the right.
